UAE quiet on streets but Web reformers face heat

MyCashPickUp.com <— scam?

My mom was stupid enough to answer the effing phone and answered to a guy with a very thick spanish or middle eastern accent that didn’t even have the correct name of the person who lives here at first. [FIRST DUMB EFFING MISTAKE!] Then the guy tells her about this loan for $500 that she has been approved for [SECOND DUMB EFFING MISTAKE!]. My mom was sooo desperate for only 500 dollars, that she fed into this scam just from so random guy calling her without a referal or even a correct name. This guy took her to the website where she filed out basically ALL of her personal information down to her name, address, social security number and credit card number [THIRD DUMB EFFING MISTAKE!]. She was on the phone for like an hour before she even asked the guy about this whole “loan business” or whatever. She asked him questions about the company and all after she submitted ALL her information and they have it sumitted and finalized on her part so there was no way to erase it [FOURTH DUMB EFFING MISTAKE]. I told her time and time again but she did any of this to just hang up the phone because all of this is sketchy for only 500 dollars, come on now! The guy could hardly be understood, he wasn’t giving direct answers and he called out of nowhere and if you call the number back it won’t even ring. I don’t understand, she is a grown woman, what’s so hard about freaking hanging up the phone as soon as he pitched the whole thing. It’s stupid, this is like the fourth time she has done something comparable to this. Ughhh, now she all regrets, since it’s almost payday for her and her money comes on her card. But, she has given all her info to those “scammers” like a lil’ fool. And she is freaking out, but I told her, I mean I am 17, and she is almost 50, she knows nothing about the internet world, and she should had freaking took my word for it and just hung up. Ahhh, now shes stressed and so am. If she were to cancel her credit card, her money would come on a check about a week or two later, which isn’t good because she needs to pay the bills and also get us ready for school. The website is called: MyCashPickUp.com <— any info on this site. I can’t find anything and I told my mom like 10 times to look it up before she did anything. But I guess she was desperate for just ONLY 500 bucks that she would take out a loan via internet. SMH. Help!!!

Does anyone have any suggestions for personal loans, unsecured or secured, for people with bad credit?

I need to put my car in the shop for repairs today but can’t seem to find any legit places to get a personal loan with a bad credit history. The previous entries from others containing similar questions all have bad links from suggested websites.

Also, I’m sick of these payday advance websites. Although I have used them before, the last time I applied for one, it was a scam. It seems like every site I search and come across now is for a payday advance.

I just need to get emergency cash and rebuild my credit at the same time. I have no family or friends that are able to help. Does anyone have any ideas for obtaining emergency cash with a quick turn-around of funds?

Bill Black: Fiat Justitia Ruat Caelum (Let Justice be Done, Though the Heavens Fall)
Yves here. This post by Bill Black is important because it presents and dissects an ugly example of failure of morality and common sense within what passes for the elite in the US. Earlier this week, Matthew Yglesias defended the Administration’s distaste for pursuing fraud investigations against financial players: ….the Obama administration felt it was important to restabilize the global …
